Located in the heart of Cancun's Hotel Zone, Ventura Park is a theme park that offers a wide variety of attractions for all ages. From thrilling rides to refreshing water activities, this place has everything you need to enjoy a fun-filled day in the Caribbean paradise.
How to Get There?
The easiest option is to travel by car. If you're thinking about renting a vehicle, Drivey can help you with the right vehicle for you. Additionally, if you're unsure about renting a car, I share an article in the following LINK where you can analyze the pros and cons of renting a vehicle. 🚘🚘
There are different packages with various activities. I recommend checking the rates and activities of each package before your arrival. You can see the prices in the following link.
What activities can I do at Ventura Park?
Wet'n Wild: If you enjoy aquatic excitement, this is the place for you. Here you'll find high-speed water slides, wave pools, and a variety of water activities to enjoy. From relaxing in the lazy river to challenging your bravery on the Kamikaze, there is something for every water lover.
Aaah!Ventura: Do you like thrills? This area is full of adrenaline. You can zip line, climb walls, challenge the Skywalk, and much more. Get ready to feel the excitement as you glide through the air and push your limits.
Fun World: Ideal for families, this area is packed with games and activities for all ages. From a water play area for kids to a go-kart track and a mini-golf course, there will be no shortage of laughs and fun.
Grand Prix: Are you passionate about speed? In this area, you can feel like a professional driver as you compete in exciting kart races. Test your driving skills and challenge your friends and family on the track.
Dolphinaris: A unique experience at Ventura Park is interacting with dolphins. Here you can swim with them, learn about their behavior, and participate in interactive activities. Enjoy a close encounter with these beautiful marine animals and create unforgettable memories.
Underworld: If you are a water sports lover, this area will enchant you. You can enjoy activities like snorkeling, diving, and exploring a fascinating underwater world full of colorful marine life.

Ventura Park offers food and beverage options throughout the park, so you won't have to worry about getting hungry or thirsty during your visit.
In my experience, Ventura Park is a fun and optimal park for relaxing and having a good time with family. However, in my opinion, there are certain aspects that I didn't entirely like and that could be improved to enhance the experience. Below, I detail some of them:
High package prices: The large number of people entering the park does not allow for truly enjoying the attractions. Additionally, the attractions have limited hours, making it difficult to use an attraction twice in the same day.
Buffet: Honestly, the buffet leaves a lot to be desired. I understand that for the price you pay (which I consider somewhat high), you don't expect high-quality food. However, you expect the usual buffet items like hamburgers, hot dogs, or certain types of snacks, which were not available. If you want a hamburger, it's outside the buffet and comes at an additional cost.
Common areas with more shade: In our case, we arrived early thinking we would have to line up to enter and find an optimal spot. Our surprise was that the common areas are very large but without shade. I don't think this is ideal considering you'll be spending the whole day in the park. The solution we had was to buy a table in an area with shade, which meant paying an additional amount on top of our package to get that spot.
Overall, the experience was not unpleasant. I'm sure it's a fantastic attraction for kids and family groups. In my case, I wasn't with children and expected a bit more "service attitude" from the Ventura Park team. However, the attractions I participated in were very fun.
These are just some points I noticed during my visit. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to leave a comment, and I'll gladly help solve your doubts.
I hope to continue sharing my experiences in different places in the Riviera Maya, always aiming to give you options and a very honest opinion about the attractions.
